Yoga is an ancient science and philosophy used for thousands of years to calm the mind and strengthen the body.
The building blocks of yoga are your breath and yoga asanas – poses that you will learn during our classes. Yoga will make you stronger and more flexible. However, there is more to yoga than that.
It helps you reconnect with yourself and rediscover who you are. It brings confidence and peace of mind. Practicing yoga provides us with quality “me time” that allows us to recenter and rebalance.
Every body is a yoga body
It doesn’t matter if you are a teenager, an adult or a senior adult, man or woman.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t been working out since your high school gym classes.
You can be inflexible or hyper-flexible, strong or fragile, struggling to lose weight or gain a few kilos.
Every body is a yoga body. Maybe this is your first time on a yoga mat or 50th of 5555th. It doesn’t matter.
Yoga is for every-body. If you do yoga, you will reap the benefits.
We are all on a journey.
Our mission at We DU Yoga is to teach in a way that is safe, inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Your yoga practice is in the hearth of what we do.
Whether you are a beginner or long-time yoga practitioner, we will help you with your choice of class and finding a route into a practice that suits your individual desires and needs.
We are here to make yoga fully adaptable to your unique and beautiful body.
If you have never practiced yoga before, don’t be intimidated by the athletic pictures of a yogis you see everywhere on the internet. Or the fancy poses and their complicated names. We won’t ask you to scratch your head with your foot. You don’t have to run into the store and spend a fortune on yoga outfits. All you have to do is come as you are, in whatever comfortable clothes you have at home that allow you to move in freely. We’ll take care of everything else. You can even keep the wallet at home. The first class is on us.
Yoga is your time to be yourself. Read these pointers before your first class. You’ll know what to expect, be able to relax and have a great time 🙂
Thinking about doing yoga but haven’t found the right time, the right clothes, the right mat, the right place, the right teacher? A wise man said that showing up is half the battle.
